About

Moving From Misunderstanding to Meaningful Connection

I work with at-risk teens and young adults through the lens of Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT). This structured, emotion-focused model is designed to treat depression, anxiety, trauma, and suicidality by repairing the foundational trust between parents and their children. By positioning parents as a 'secure base,' I help families foster the emotional regulation and autonomy necessary for lasting recovery. I specialize in supporting youth from marginalized backgrounds—including neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and adopted youth, as well as those whose religious or cultural identities have diverged from their family’s traditions. As an ABFT therapist, I prioritize the parent’s active role, providing dedicated weekly sessions for both the parent and the child. Together, we work to decode the child’s inner experience and build a framework for supportive communication. In my years of experience working with teens with severe mental health challenges and disorders, I have seen firsthand how including parents doesn't just aid a child's recovery—it restores relationships that might otherwise be lost.
